School drop off is getting easier!
Drop off for Eli is getting a little easier every day. On Monday when I dropped him off he was done crying by the time I walked out the door. And when I picked him up, he yelled mommy! then went back right back to what he was doing. When Joe dropped them off today, no tears!
His teacher, Miss Danielle, says that he does really well except when she goes on break and then he loses it. He also says over and over again "mommy back couple hours."

Eli's first artwork
The theme for August at Eli's school is the A, the color red, and the shape oval. Judging by this artwork he is clearly brilliant.

1st day of school!
Trey started 4th grade, Jonah is in 2nd, and Eli started Montessori preschool! The older boys did great. Eli had a hard time at dropoff. As soon as he realized I planned to leave him there, he started crying and yelling "get out!" and trying to run for the door. I had to pry his little fingers from my shirt to leave. I called about 45 minutes later and the director said he had stopped crying, but he wouldn't let the teacher put him down. I have a feeling dropoff will be painful for a while!

Eli-isms
Eli doesn't say his "f" sound yet - it comes out as a "b." He loves turning the fan off and on in his room, so I try to get him to say fan. I say fffffffaaaaaaannnnnnn. And he says ffffffffffff-BAN.
He is starting to say thank you or thanks regularly
Eli is not a fan of bugs. Tonight in the bath there was a dead mosquito, and after much yelling on his part, I got it out of the water. Then he saw a black speck started to scream again. I said "Eli it is just dirt!" He started to scream DIRT! NO! NO DIRT IN BATHHHHHHHH! NO MOMMY! NO DIRRRRTTTTT!" He didn't stop so I had to get him out after 2 minutes total in the tub.
He has started calling his brothers "Brother Trey" and "Brother Jonah."
He has started to say "shut up," courtesy of the song "shut up and dance with me."
"Hold you" when he wants me to hold him
He doesn't say the "s" sound at the beginning of works, but he does it very well at the end. Dalad (salad), dee (see), doobie doo (scoobie doo), duper why (super why)
His new thing is to throw himself on the floor in a tantrum
