Me: Eli why didn't you tell someone you had to go poopie?

Eli: I did! I told myself. In my head.

At least the person who hit my car in the parking lots was honest!

She came into the store to find me, and was very apologetic. I gave her a hug and said - it's no big deal! Don't let this ruin your Christmas.

A little snow never stopped us!

Although I did have to bribe them with hot chocolate. I put protein in it though so I figure 2 rights (walk and protein) outweigh 1 wrong (sugar).

Writing letters to deployed military to thank them for their service and wish them a happy thanksgiving. And send some leftover Halloween candy!

Jonah gets glasses!

He's super excited for them to come in. His prescription was -1.5. Pretty decent for an 8 year old! I'm afraid he got his mommy's beautiful but broken eyes. :)

Eli's first play date

The older boys went to parents night out at a local gymnastics place, so our neighbors volunteered to watch Eli so Joe and I could go out to dinner. Savannah made him do story time and they watched back to back scoobie doo episodes. He had fun!

A full day!

Yesterday was a full day! We started off with a gymnastics class for Eli. Jonah came along too. It was a complete disaster. Eli doesn't do well interacting with new people in a big group setting, so he was not having any of it. Every time a kid came near him or an instructor tried to get him to do something, he started crying. So we left there early and ran errands. Then we had brunch at my favorite place (The Egg and I), then went to my nail salon. The boys are always so good in there... they get to sit up in the pedicure chairs and work the back massage. The women in there get a kick out of the boys. Eli likes to see the "oven" where they "cook my hands" - gel manicure.

After more errands, we dropped Jonah off at a nerf birthday party and went to Trey's soccer game. He played well and they won!

Then back to pick up Jonah, and on to Fright Night at the field house. They had games, rollerblading at the rink, haunted house, and lots of candy. Eli entered the costume contest, but he started to melt down before the judging so we left. He was a trooper! Out and about from 8:30am - 8pm, no nap, and lots of candy. Other than the tears in the morning, he was great all day!

My first speaking engagement!

Sort of.... I was a moderator for a panel discussion at a local conference. It was a fun experience and I was honored to be approached to do it.
