Eli updates
He loves to say "I have a surprise for you!" Then when you say "what?' he says "I want to tell you a secret!" Then you lean down and he turns his head so you are ear to ear and whispers something. Not sure why he doesn't whisper in your ear...
Potty training has started! He is wearing pullups during the day and gets m&m for going potty in the potty or outside. Going well so far!

9 weeks from today we will be on the Colorado Trail!
I was on the trail this morning by 6am and did about 6.5 miles. Is there a more beautiful place to be early in the morning?

Fun times at the ballpark
Jonah's fielding is improving. He caught a pop fly and dropped it but most of his other plays were good.
He has a few more weeks of the regular season then playoffs.
DC trip, day 4
Our last day in DC! :(
This morning we had a 10 am tour of the Capital with a member of Senator Bennett's staff. The Capital and beautiful and a maze! Unfortunately there is scaffolding covering the dome and plastic covering the walls of the rotunda. It was still very cool to see.
We had tickets to tour the House and Senate chambers but there was a 45 minute line (for each) and by this time Trey was just done.
We took the tunnel over to the Library of Congress which was also beautiful. Can you see a little boy peeking out from Jefferson's book collection?
We walked by the Supreme Court building which had a lot of activity - demonstrations and lots of capital police. I found out later there were arguments being heard for some sort of deportation suit.
We passed by Ford's Theater on the way back to the hotel, picked up our luggage, said goodby to the Westin, took our last ride on the metro to the airport, and had an uneventful boarding for our flight home.
It was a great trip that Trey will hopefully remember when he grows up. I do feel like he probably should have been a little older to know some more history to really appreciate it. I think the bike tour, paddle boats boats, metro, and seeing the Ludovics made it fun, but I could tell he was disappointed in the monuments and museums, thinking they were going to be more exciting. As always though it is really about spending time together and getting away from the normal routine.
