Turn around, bright eyes

Baby bright eyes! Eli's lashes are growing long, his clogged tear
duct has cleared up, and his eyes are blue and no longer the dark
newborn color.

Mommy likes the moby wrap, baby is not so sure!

The boys are so excited about getting a BB gun (Trey) and pocket knife (Jonah). According to Joe all they have to do is bring home a live deer they caught with their bare hands. They are talking like its a sure thing.

Estes Park/Lake Granby - day 2

The older boys had day camp at the YMCA and had a blast. They were gone from 8:15-3:15. Joe and I went for a hike but otherwise just lazed around with the baby. It's pretty amazing how fast the day goes by when you're not doing much!

Estes Park/Lake Granby 2013 - day 1

Surprisingly we got out of the house on time for our first road trip as a family of 5! On the way up to the mountains we had lunch and visited with the Ludovic's. Once at the YMCA of the Rockies, we relaxed and ordered pizza. The view from the cabin is amazing and these pictures don't do it justice. The boys were excited to have bunk beds - always a crowd pleaser with this family! Mommy and Daddy were excited that Eli has his own room. A bit of a splurge but our first and only trip this summer with all of us, so we wanted to be comfortable.

And we're off!

We're on our way to the YMCA at Estes Park for 2 nights then onto YMCA at Snow Mountain Ranch near Grand Lake for another night. We got out of the house only 7 minutes later than my target time. pretty good! I'm excited to get away for a few nights before the end of my maternity leave. Expect lots of pictures!

Geocaching

We had an impromptu geocaching outing today. There were 5 close to the house and we easily found 4 of them!

Time needs to SLOW DOWN!

Eli is growing out of his newborn clothes. Clothes that Trey and Jonah wore, some that even Cousin Ryan wore! When I dress Eli in a hand-me-down, memories come flooding back. And when I put it aside because it doesn't fit and realize I'll never again have a baby that small... It's all going by too fast!!

Jonah's last day as a 4 year old!

No caffeine for mommy!

Eli had a good night last night. Joe fed him at 11:30, then he was up again at 3, then 6:30. That's back to back 3.5 hour stretches folks! He's done a 3.5 or 4 hour stretch but usually followed by a 2 hour stretch. I went in once around 4:30 and put his binkie back in, but I didn't pick him up. And at his 3am feeding I put him back in bed wide awake and he got himself to sleep.

This is a welcome change from the night before when he just wouldn't settle. I was up trying to get him to be content for over 2 hours. Ugh!

I realized the day before yesterday I had an iced coffee mid-morning. I wonder if that caused his night time issues? Either way... I'm not having coffee again!!
