Eli - 5 months
big drooler but no sign of teeth yet
loves his bumbo
1st solid foods! carrots from Joe's garden and avocado
sticks his tongue out all the time
doing pretty well at night - usually getting up once between 4 and 5 and goes right back to sleep
4 oz bottles every 3 hours during the day
short naps - 30-45 minutes, then up for 1.5 - 2 hours
cheeks, cheeks, and more cheeks!

Tonight the boys and I were practicing spelling. Trey asked Jonah how to spell rode, and Jonah spelled it correctly. I said "That's right for when you say that you rode your bike. But how do you spell it when you mean a paved road?" Trey said "that is road." Jonah said "and I can use it in a sentence! It's like 'I road my car down the street!'"

Where oh where did my good sleeper go?
For the past 4 nights Eli has been getting up around midnight and every 2 hours after. Yuck! What happened to my good sleeper??

Happy 4 month birthday Eli!
13 lbs
Generally sleeps 6:30/7pm - 4-5am - wee hoo!
Loves:
- His bouncy seat. He'll be happy in there for 20+ minutes at a time, just talking and kicking away.
- Talking! He does his guttural sound less now, and is really into high pitched squeals.
- Looking at himself in the mirror
- Chewing on his hands
More interested in his surroundings
Belly laughs, ticklish under ribs
Rolled over once a few weeks ago from belly to back, and hasn't done it since
4 oz bottles every 2-3 hours during the day
Swaddled for nap and night
Eczema getting bad, so treating with lots of lotion and hydrocortisone
Almost always happy, but emotions can change quickly (Trey wanted me to included this)

Misused words
Set the bed instead of make the bed. I think they are confused with set the table.
Golden instead of gold. As in "can you pass me the golden crayon?"
Epic to mean violent. As in "Mommy is this movie too epic for us to watch?"
I don't know where they pick up these things!
