Sunday race series

Once again, the boys did fantastic at the Sunday race series!

Eli ran his race by himself for the first time.

Jonah stayed close to the leader then sprinted past him on the final stretch to snag 1st place.

Trey was determined! Not sure what place he finished for 4th and 5th grade boys because they run with a bigger group. They usually post the results on Wednesdays.

Saturday was a beautiful day for a kickball game!

Saturday we enjoyed a friendly competitive kickball game topped off with Joe and Clint's homemade sausage. A perfect colorado day!

The boys are all doing a race series on Sundays for 5 weeks.  Eli is 50 yard dash, Jonah is 1/2 mile, and Trey is 1 mile.

Eli's race wasn't timed.  The first week he was nervous and ran holding Trey's hand.   He did better the 2nd week, but still ran with Jonah next to him.

Jonah came in 1st 2 weeks in a row, and shaved 8 seconds off his time.

It's hard to tell with the way the results are shown, but Trey came in 4th week 1 and 1st week 2.  I think he saw all the excitement when Jonah came in first week 1 and tried harder in week 2!

Greenland open space 4 mile trail run

This crazy crew did a 4 mile trail run yesterday. Clint finished 7th overall and 1st in his division. Trey and Ryan finished 12th and 13th overall and 1st and 2nd in their division. There were over 100 racers, so a great accomplishment! I was significantly slower but jogged the entire 4 miles, the first 2 of which were uphill. So I am very proud of myself!!

Eli: Mommy! I wasn't sticking my hand in there. Just 1 finger.
