Day 1 in the new Greenhouse Denver office

Welcome to my new office! And new team member David. Day 1 was good, although it is weird to sit in a little office next to someone all day. At Staples I had either a cube with high walls (first 2 years) or office (last 10 years). I'm sure I will get used to it though. Starting next week there will be 3 of us, then I have a guy from our NY office coming for 3 months starting Nov 11. So there will be 4 people in this office soon enough.

This is so me!

This is so me!  I actually just ordered some new color ballpoint gel pens not 5 minutes ago and crossed it off my to do list in my planner.

The trees looked so pretty at Trey's soccer game yesterday. In real life they were more gold than in this picture. Eli and I walked over to the edge of the field so he could pee in the trees because it was way closer than the porta-potties. I love having boys!

Trying on costumes (mix and match!) at Goodwill

Treasure Hunts

When the boys were home during fall break, they did treasure hunts for each other.  I have vivid memories of doing this with Mari and Clint in Gladewater.  I love seeing them use creativity!

Halloween 2018

Introducing this year's Halloween costumes, courtesy our costume box, goodwill, and the dollar store. I'm tired of spending $40-50 per kid for costumes that are worn once, and we all know I'm not crafty enough to make any. From left to right we have: not sure, special forces guy, and not sure.

Eli graduated to the next level in swim!

Eli graduated to the next level in swim school! When I took the kids to the pool last weekend he was doing great at swimming. So proud of him!

Mommy son homework date!

I'm headed to Austin this week so I cooked up a fun way to help Joe hold down the fort. Jonah and I got up early this morning and went to Starbucks to work on his homework for the upcoming week. I've learned that he handles his homework better when we switch up the routine and do it somewhere different. And by working a few assignments ahead, hopefully the week will be just a little bit easier.

The start of Fall

For some reason the boys have been oddly excited about the start of fall at 8 PM tonight. A bedtime Eli just said-it's now fall! Are all the leaves falling right now outside? He wanted to go outside and look.

Belated first day of school

Here are some pictures from the first day of school. Although I JUST now realized I put 4th grade instead of 5th on the chalkboard. Oops! We'll be doing retakes. :)

Soccer

Trey has a soccer tournament this weekend and he's been playing really well! I rarely seem to have my camera ready when he is near the action, but I did get a good shot of him heading the ball.

1st day of school!

Monday was the first day of school for these big guys. Don't they look dapper in their uniforms? And Jonah in his new transitions lens glasses? Same pickup and drop off schedule for these 2 this year which saves a ton of time!

Cousin Kiki’s birthday party

Eli had such a good time at Cousin Kiki's 6th birthday party! Gymnastics, pizza, cupcake, goodie bag, and a quick snooze on the way home - a perfect afternoon!

Happy birthday to me!

42!!!

Yesterday was a great day! After dropping off Trey at school, I had a nice leisurely breakfast reading a book at my favorite spot - The Egg and I. I worked from the library. Then we went to meet the teacher night at American Academy (Eli and Jonah start Monday). We finished up the night at a brewery by Trey's soccer practice where we sat outside drinking beer and having food truck cheesesteaks with soccer parents and our friends the Ludovics (back in town for vacation). Perfect day!
