Enjoying the day in Estes Park

Everywhere we go, we find a place to throw rocks in the water. The
boys stay entertained for a while!

Trey's 1st Triathlon!

I am so proud of my big boy.  He competed in his first triathlon this weekend.  It was 25 meter swim (1 pool length), 1K bike, 500 meter run.  He came in lucky 13th out of 27 5/6 year old boys, so right in the middle.  Not a bad showing for his 1st race of any kind!  His swim was the exact same as the winner, his run was 1 minute slower, and his bike was 2.5 minutes slower.  So we know what to practice on!  As we walked out, he asked me when his next race was.

1 letter makes all the difference

Trey:  Mommy I dropped my 2 dicks.

Me:  Excuse me?

Trey:  My dicks.

Me:  huh?

Trey:  You know, my dicks that came with my Spy Kids toy.

Me:  Oh buddy...those are called disks.

Having a shipping warehouse in the house comes in handy!

Today Trey's kindergarten class had an egg drop event where they tried to package an egg so it wouldn't break when dropped off the roof.  Joe helped Trey wrap his egg in lots of bubble wrap.  Both Trey and Cousin Erin were successful!

Slides

On a whim, Trey and I spent a few hours together at the gym. He loves
going down the slide.

Mother's Day 5k

This race is now an annual tradition! It is in City Park in Denver
and a nice, flat course. This year it was cold and cloudy, so no
picnic afterwards.

LegoKidsFest

Last weekend I took the boys into Denver to check out LegoKidsFest.  They had a blast!  And it wasn't nearly as crazy as I thought it would be.  They were sooooo excited to check out the NinjaGo exhibit and the massive pile of legos.

Pants

My son puts his pants on backward with such regularity that I think it
is on purpose.
