After dinner hike

I've been trying to take the kids on a walk after dinner while the weather is still nice.  I love our walks!  The boys like to go without shirts.

Just like it

Trey:  Am I ever going to have big boobies like you do?

Me:  {thinking I'll seize this as a learning opportunity...}  No.  Mommies need boobies to feed milk to their babies.

Trey:  Why don't the babies just drink it out of a cup?

Me:  Well they do when they get older,  but when they are new babies they drink the milk that is made in their mommy's boobies.

Trey:  So boobies are like straws and you pour the milk in there and it holds it until the baby is ready for it?

Me:  No, a mommy's body makes it's own milk to give to the baby.

Trey:  {eyes wide} SO YOU'RE JUST LIKE A COW????

Good question!

Tonight I was reading The Long Winter (part of the Little House series) to Trey.  

He said: How come in their family Mary and Laura do all of the chores, and in our family you and Daddy do all the chores?

Trip to Newport

I had a great weekend in Newport with Dad and Anne.  It's been too long since I've been there!

Me:  So has anyone gotten in trouble yet for talking a lot?

Trey:  No.  Well, Sydney has.  She talks a lot during carpet time.  Sydney can do the splits.  All the way!  Can you believe it?  Sydney can also talk in a funny voice.  Like this...  Sydney does a lot of things that are funny.

Loose tooth

Trey has his first loose tooth! So of course I hopped right on Etsy
to find some cute pillows. These are adorable! I bought one for
Jonah too so they can have matching pillows.

1st day of school

My big boy is in 1st grade!  His teacher is Mrs. Martino, who is supposed to be wonderful.

The first day was fairly chaotic.  Check out how Cousin Erin holds onto Trey as they are going in.  Sooo cute!
