It's about time!
Well 10 days shy of his 17 month birthday, Eli gave us a few unassisted steps today. Once he took 1 step and another time he took 2 steps. Boy this kid has sure taken his time! He cruises around like a champ holding onto something, but it's like his feet are glued to the floor if he isn't holding onto something.

Eli loves....
being crazy on the bed, standing up, falling over, smashing face first
into the pillows, laughing hysterically, stopping for a moment to
watch the fan
fans - any kind. ceiling fans, fans on a stand, any fan
tractors, and anything that looks even vaguely similar to a tractor
like a golf cart
dogs - when we are out for a walk and a dog passes out of sight, he
starts crying and signs "more"
cheese, fruit, and ice cream
baths
books and more books
the beach! I took him for a lot of walks in San Diego, and when we
got to the beach I would say "do you love the waves?" and he would
start waving like a crazy kid
