1,000 miles check-in

I'm doing fairly well on my 1,000 miles in 2016 challenge.  I only count mileage I get above and beyond a normal day.  I am at 67 miles right now and I should be around 85, but I am confident I will catch back up when the weather is nicer.

Dinnertime game

We play the movie initial game most nights at dinner.  Someone says the initials of a movie and we all try to guess.  The winner then takes a turn giving initials.  Lately we've branched into the store and restaurant initial game.

Trey's first program!

Pops and Nana got this programmable ball for Christmas and the boys are having so much fun with it! Trey can program different things to happen (change colors, roll speed, spin in place, etc.) and on different events (on collision is our favorite!). He is trying to program it to roll into his brothers.

Adventure: Speed Cubing Tournament in Boulder

We just went to watch, but the boys loved it!  A Rubik's paradise (if you are into that sort of thing).  Lots of boys who wanted to sit around and talk cubing, cubes of every shape and size, and even a YouTube cubing star (or so we heard)!

Most of the kids in the competition were solving a 3x3 in 30-40 seconds.

We signed up for one at the end of February - Trey and Jonah have a lot of practicing to do!

Hike: Chautauqua Park in Boulder

Last weekend I snuck in a short hike in Boulder before the Rubik's Tournament.  I think Ryan was terrified, just 1 short week after our never ending lunchtime hike last weekend.

We did Chautauqua -> Ski Jump -> Bluebell -> Baseline trails for about 1.5 miles.  The boys ran ahead, even uphill.  How do they have so much energy??
