Business Systems Analyst

  • Liaison between IS application support teams and appropriate business representatives for day to day and project support of Customer Service business applications, which include Kana, Click2Coach, Spark, Live Meeting, Talisma, and Knowledge Management.  These systems are used in 6 business units, 9 contact centers and by 2000+ associates.
  • Problem solving ability to provide primary problem diagnosis and coordinate resolution.  Ensure root cause is determined and implement risk mitigation processes as appropriate.
  • Become an expert in how applications are used in the business and proactively identify changes in process or system usage to increase productivity, better support our customers, increase associate satisfaction, and reduce costs.

Database Analyst

  • Create new reports and queries, primarily in the Microstrategy Reporting tool, based on business needs.  Strong understanding of the business metrics and data points.  Partner with Customer Service database administrators and data architects to source the necessary data, complete data mapping and model.  Ensure reports meet accuracy, performance, usability and functionality requirements.
  • Use reporting expertise to identify varying ways to analyze data to help drive to root cause of issues.  Strong analytical skills and knowledge of statistical tools ability to identify trends and create reports as required by manager.
  • Perform complex ad hoc database queries to support business needs.  Running and maintaining of various access databases, typically tools specific to a specific team or function
  • Participate in projects as assigned, which may include Lean Six Sigma projects.

Senior Database Analyst

  • Responsible for day to day administration of business-owned SQL server.  This includes maintenance, database change requests, and required updates for development, test and productions environments.
  • Develop import procedures to bring data from source applications to central SQL server, in some cases with limited knowledge of source system data models.  Must be able to self-learn the data model of multiple source systems and how it relates to data from other systems.
  • Model and design databases in support of business requirements. Review, develop and design data models using standard diagramming techniques in conjunction with IS and IT.  Create logical data models that translate into physical database structures that integrate with existing or proposed database structures.
  • Meet with internal customers to identify needs and design solutions that exceed expectations.
  • Run ad-hoc analysis and SQL queries to assist internal customers in making critical business decisions and process improvements.
  • Maintain existing reporting portal written in .php.
