Today's fortune

My fortune cookie from dinner:

Right now there is an energy pushing you to stay on your path.

Is that why I used to go to bed at 8pm, and now I stay up until 10 working on Tiny Tales?

Trey's 1st boo-boo

Trey likes to push up on his arms in the stroller. I'm good about buckling him in so I haven't worried about him falling out. Yesterday, we went for a short walk to the playground with Aunt Mari and Cousin Ry-ry. I didn't buckle him in because the inside of the stroller blanket was wet, so I sat him ontop of it. While we were walking, Trey pushed up on his arms and took a header off the front of the stroller. Luckily we weren't going fast, and he sortof just rolled out onto the sidewalk. He stopped crying within a minute. We were right in front of a house with an old lady sitting on her front porch, and I know she thinks I am a horrible mom!

I was hoping it was just dirt on his head, but it didn't come off in the bath.

You've got mail!

Today Trey pointed out and said "mail truck."

New Tiny Tales blog review

http://www.whatshotfortots.com/tinytales.html

"Here is a product that finally takes into account the reality of our daily busy lifestyles: only a mom could create that! Because she couldn't find a baby book she liked, because she became a mom and hadn't the time to keep one anyway, but because she wanted to remember every little event of her baby's life, Lara Frankovitch came up with a brilliant idea...."

Another great night of sleeping! Baby decided to start the day by yelling "walk" at 5:50 am, so I hurried to get out of the cabin so we didn't wake everyone else up. Actually a blessing in disguise because the lake is beautiful this morning, and we are sitting on the dock enjoying the view.

Greetings from Maine!

We are having a fantastic time on our trip to Maine. Cousin RyRy and Trey are getting along like long lost best friends. They love running back and forth on the dock, throwing rocks into the water, and playing with balls and trucks on the screened-in porch.

The first night here was quite the adventure. Right after Trey went to bed, we had the most amazing thunderstorm. The lightening was incredible, and looked like it was hitting houses right across the lake. We lost power, and used flashlights to get to bed. It came back on around 5am. Trey did fine in the pitch black room. He also has nightlights (I even travel with a few), so everytime I heard him moving around I expected him to start crying. He slept perfectly on his sesame street sofa.

Today we went out in a pontoon boat, and he loved it. Especially when we got close to the loons (ducks). We also went on a long walk with Aunt Mari and the jogging strollers. The boys (and their mommies) slept for over 2 hours. A great day!

I've taken a bunch of pics, so I will upload them tuesday when we get back.

Maine

Well we are off today for a few days in Maine with Pops, Nana, Aunt Mari, and Cousin Ry-ry. Taking lots of good toys for the boys. We should have a ton of fun! If the bb works up there I will try to post the day's activities.

Tiny Tales the name

I am hopeful it doesn't seem as bad as it did yesterday.  The trademark attny did just a very high level free search.  From what I can tell from the US Patent and Trademark office website, Tiny Tales is trademarked to a book publishing company.  They are a service, which I would not be.  I think we can argue there would be no confusion.  The other Tiny Tales (the product from a scrapbooking company), I don't think is made any longer by that company.  And they don't have a trademark for it anyway.  Keep your fingers crossed for me!!

This morning Trey dropped something and said "Ah-oh Trey."  I've never heard him say his name!  We call him Baby at home, so I was worried he didn't know what his name was.  ;)  But at daycare they obviously call him Trey, so I think he must be learning it.

He loves saying "Here you go" and handing me something.

bad tiny tales news

I've been talking to a patent and trademark attny, and she advised me that I cannot trademark Tiny Tales.  There is a large scrapbooking company that has a product called tiny tales, and she feels my application would get denied.  :(

Calling all and any name ideas!?!

1st on google!

Wee hoo!  I just checked google and I am 1st when you search for "tiny tales."  All those blog mentions and the press release must have helped, because I used to be on page 3 or 4.

Blogging while walking

I am reduced to blogging from my blackberry while walking to my car since I haven't found the time to update everyone! Oh the insanity.

Our night in portland was wonderful. Grampy came with Judy and some other weirton friends. Trey was the perfect charmer, even with no naps! We shopped the outlets on saturday, then went to a nice dinner on sat night. Trey behaved during the entire 2 hour dinner! I couldn't believe it. On our walk back to the car, he even got to sit on the front of a fire truck!

That night he slept great in the hotel. There wasn't enough room for the shade tent, so we just made a pallet for him on the floor with his sesame stree fold out sofa. Quinn was at his feet and they had a snore-off.
