Well I am officially 18 weeks and 4 days. Just a week and a half shy of halfway. I can't believe it!
I had my 18 week ultrasound yesterday, and they identified placenta previa. It is where the placenta covers the cervix instead of being along the top or the side of the uterous where it should be. In 95% of the cases it corrects itself by term, so they will do another ultrasound at 28 weeks to see if it is correct. If it is still there by term, a c-section is required, which I was already going to have anyway, so really it is not a big deal either way.
They took a few ultrasound photos, but they didn't come out very well, so I won't bother posting them.
